What is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus (pronounced ti-ni-tis), or ringing within the ears, is that the sensation of hearing ringing, buzzing, hissing, chirping, whistling, or alternative sounds. The noise may be intermittent or continuous and might vary in loudness. it's usually worse once background is low, thus you will be most aware of it at night once you are trying to go to sleep in a very quiet space. In rare cases, the sound beats in sync with your heart (pulsatile tinnitus).
